Michelle L. Ruder, Director of Early Childhood Education Center

Michelle is excited to be starting her 14th year as the ECE Center director. She loves coming to work every day and spending time with the amazing students and families who make up our ECE Center community. Prior to working at the ECE Center, she taught preschool for many years at a local synagogue. She loves teaching all ages, including running a Kindergarten Enrichment class and a Tot’s Torah class. Her background is in Early Childhood Education and Child Development, and she holds a Private School Teaching Certificate in Pennsylvania.
Michelle is a lifelong learner who enjoys keeping up with the latest developmental studies and best practices. The school has a vibrant, exciting and developmentally appropriate play-based program that challenges our students to be creative thinkers every day! The sound of laughter and children’s voices fills our hallways and brings a smile to her face throughout the day.
On a personal note, Michelle lives in Plymouth Meeting with her family, comprised of her husband, Barry, her daughter Ariel, her son Adam, and her daughter Sophie. Her son Ian and daughter-in-law Kait live in New Jersey. She has three grandchildren who are all or will be students in the ECE Center.
Please do not hesitate to stop by Michelle's office any time. If she is not there, chances are that she will be enjoying some time with your children.
