Volunteer Choir

Our volunteer choir is led by Cantor Jordan Franzel. Their harmonies have perfected a repertoire of 22 pieces. The choir helps inspire Shabbat services on a regular basis and has performed at our ground breaking for the new school building. the Buxmont Israel Day Celebration, and various other area events.

Lend your voice to our Adult Volunteer Choir.  Join Cantor Franzel on Tuesday evening at 8 PM in the Beit K’nesset as we delve into the sounds of our rich musical tradition.  The Or Ami Adult Volunteer Choir will be educational and experimental as we approach our heritage, our Scriptures, and our history from a musical perspective.  We will explore melodies both ancient and recent, blending our voices in a joyful noise.

Singing brings healing and wholeness to the world, not only for those that hear it, but to the performers themselves.  Ultimately, the act of singing has the power of transformation; by singing our ancient texts, we can become more in tune with ourselves, our neighbors, and the Divinity that is in every moment.  It is the goal of the Volunteer Choir to enhance services and programs at Or Ami with the sound of sweet singing.

The Adult Volunteer Choir will start to meet on 10/23/07 at 8 PM and will meet every Tueday that there is Kollel.
